[DeTomaso] Stock fan output vs. Flex-a-lite

All,

>From a previous post, the Cool Cat fans (link below) look like they would be
a nice fit. Anyone installed Cool Cat fans?

Here is some information from my archives:

FANS:

Flex-a-Lite FLX-240 pusher fans that squeezed between the original fan
struts and the radiator with a little creative carving on the shroud.

Alternative to stock Lucas fans:

The schematic of the OEM radiator fan wiring for cars with two fan relays is
available at:

Dear Tom,

I can't comment on the fan specs, but I can tell you that the Mariah fans
are hard to find and may be out of production. I needed a couple this summer
when my adequate stock-replacement fan motor quit after fifteen years. I
thought I would upgrade to Mariahs since they worked just fine on the other
Pantera. I was surprised that PPC in Colorado could only find a *used*
single unit to sell me. I bought that one and was the recipient of a gift
Mariah from another Forum member. I also recall that Kirk Evans, who should
have better than average vendor connections, was also looking for a Mariah
on the Forum at the same time.

It may be that the only choice is Flex-a-lite. Good luck.

Warmest regards, Chuck Engles
