dR. Dan,
  We didn't get a sufficient time to road test the new mods at the Nevada Open in May but I felt an improvement....hoping the additional rubber on the bottom of the air dam and the sides will help reduce air flow under the car. We also lowered the car.
  next month should give us more results.

It might have a small effect on decreasing the lift by speeding up the
flow (via reduced drag) under the car. Since it's a flat surface at
zero angle of attack, it doesn't generate lift like a wing but there
is a pressure build up as the air is slowed. The big pressure buildup
is near the base of the radiator and venting it out the top like Mad
Dog has done would have a much bigger effect. An air dam can help by
minimizing the flow under the car. If the leading eadge lip is angled,
it can produce downforce. The location is critical as it can have an
effect on the flow through the radiator.
