GL,

Damn, you guys must have large pipe over there in Ohio.  How big a drain
do you need? :)  If your pipe is big enough for a mouse to crawl in it,
you may have other problems as well!

The mouses up this way will eat plastic like it is food to get it out of
the 
way. If you use a copper or stainless brillo they will not eat it.
