When I went to paint Zonkey about 5 years ago, I couldn't find any paint 
supplier that had a "match". PPG suggested I go to one of their "Profit 
Centers" and have a computer match done. At that point practically all 
the original paint had been stripped off and I couldn't take it there 
anyway so I just started looking at samples. I wanted to paint using 
base/clear so that restricted choices some perhaps.

What I ended up choosing was very close to the original ('71) yellow. It 
is just a bit brighter, but not much. I compared it to the paint under 
the behind the rear window "gills" and also to some paint I had mixed up 
in the 70's to do some repainting. The paint is a "pure mixing base" (I 
didn't add any tints) called Light Chrome Yellow (I believe) and the 
code is 666 (I know for sure - I call it devil's yellow). I think most 
who know Zonkey will agree it's a pretty nice yellow. I get lots of
