Nice Car.

I have a question, IF the first 75 cars were the handmade push button models
as written in several books, why is the serial number 1365? No doubt that
this car is the real deal, just curious about the serial numbers, I have
read the first three were crash tested, so it stands to reason that the
first cars for customers would have been 1004, 1005, etc.
Mine is 1660, and I had always thought that it was OK to assume that it was
the 657th car made.
Now, even if yours was the very last of the 75 pushbutton cars, and if they
used sequential numbers,
1290 being the first and yours being 1365, assuming that 1287, 1288, 1289
were the crashed models,
I now have the 370th car built?

Does anybody have a true record of serial numbers and if so, what's the real
deal?

Inquiring minds want to know.
