  Silver State and Ely isn't about making sense.....its not about gay power steering, retard auctions or what GM is doing with retro Camaro's.........Its a weekend long party that just happens to include a 90-mile open road race across a 2-lane road from Lund to Hiko....and that is an afterthought after the party in Ely on Friday night....but the entire weekend is a religious experience. . .Think Burning Man!
   
  Where do we meet? Where else,  but the "Green Lantern" in Ely Nevada. 
  What do we do? Aything we want (aka; what happens in Ely stays etc.....)  
  What are the rules? There are no rules in Team Pantera Racing!
  And the Brazilian Girls?
  I don't remember when they first came up....I think they were friends of Curt Toumanian and now they just come up to Ely every Sept. They're fun. They don't whine, they don't bitch and they NEVER say NO!
   
  Back in '02, John Bentley, Chuck Brown and I drove a custom 18-wheeler semi with a 55' trailer outfitted with two Pantera's, a hottub and the Brazilian Girls  from Santa Clara to Ely Nevada for SS.  JB probably has some photo's of the 'outside' of the trailer...few Pantera owners have ever seen the 'inside' of "TPR Central" because well you gotta want to party and most of you slackers don't party let alone race and you don't get to party with the B-Girls unless you go to the Silver State in Ely Nevada in September.
   
  But for those of you who remember how to party and how to put your foot in the throttle we are a month out to the biggest kick-ass party of the year.  Pleaze don't whine that you can't make it or that your Pantera won't go at least 100 MPH unless you are on a 4-lane freeway.  Or that your boss won't give you the time off or that your wife or girlfriend is scared about you going fast or that the Dawg ate your registration either. For once in your life be a man for gawd-sakes.
   
  Get off the porch.... I mean the List....Thank God, this country is still the home of the brave and the land of the FREE. 
   
  Tomorrow Dick Drenske, Russ Fulps and I  start the beast with the new engine!
