Your timing could be off....Double check your timing to be sure its 38total.

It seems like the problem is caused by the carburettor not being tuned

When compression testing the engine earlier this year the readings were:
12.5kg (181 psi) pressure on all cylinders.
Intake: Edelbrock Performer.
Heads: Closed chamber Aussie 2V heads .
Cam: Compcam part nr # 32-221-3. Grind nr FC-268H-10
Pistons: 10:1 forged pistons. 0,30" over.
Ignition: Mallory unilite. Promaster coil
Carburettor: Holley 670 Street avenger.
