Whatever you call that hollow thingy bolted to the front of the ZF case, that 
the throwout bearing slided back & forth on.

The spring usually mounts with the legs pointing down but the legs are spread 
so full travel is possible. If you mount it so the legs look 'square', one or 
both legs will interfere with the throwout bearing's travel. THere are photos 
somewhere of the 'right' installation. Good luck- J DeRyke
