Can anyone explain how a limited slip differential works? I know what it
does, transferring more power to the wheel that is not slipping, but not
the mechanics of how it does it.  Mazda calls the Miata LSD a "viscous"
limited slip differential, so there must be other kinds as well; what are
they?  Though I appreciated the courtroom theatrics of Marissa Tomei's
explanation in My Cousin Vinny, I didn't quite get that "aha" of real
understanding... :-)
